EDUCATION
In 2012, Kimberly received a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Reading and Writing from Southern Methodist University. She is a certified Reading Specialist in Texas. As part of her studies, she enrolled in the Dyslexia Teacher Preparation Program and Neuhaus Education Center. She gained experience teaching small groups of students with dyslexia or other reading disabilities.

EXPERIENCE
Kimberly has been teaching elementary aged students for 11 years. The majority of her experience was at an IB World School (International Baccalaureate) in a self-contained (reading, writing, math, science, and social studies) second grade classroom. There, she worked to meet the educational needs of each student in her classroom with a wide range of academic levels. She taught students identified as Gifted and Talented, English Language Learners, and students with dyslexia or other disabilities. She collaborated with other educators in ARD and 504 meetings. Kimberly served as a grade chair, a book study leader, and spoke at an international conference.
